BLE provides a select offering of eco tours within the Boden Creek Ecological Preserve, Golden Stream Corridor Preserve, Port Honduras Marine Reserve, Sapodilla Cays Marine Reserve, and the surrounding Toledo District. With our "Overland Tour Division", we also offer eco-tours throughout Belize as a whole.

Belize's All-Inclusive, Luxury Safari Experience

Belize Lodge's unique circuit of lodges creates an African Safari-like experience in Central America. Moving from rainforest to jungle to the coast, guests experience the ultimate adventure vacation.

Begin your stay with one or two nights at a rainforest lodge, either Indian Creek or Ballam Na.

Then your journey to Jungle Camp is part of the experience. The only way to get to Jungle Camp, because there are no roads or no trails, is to cruise with a Mayan guide down Golden Stream for about 2 ½ to 3 hours. Travel one of two ways:

• Kayak yourself in a single or double kayak accompanied by a guide;
• In big Adirondack 20ft canoes which holds 6 people and is piloted by Mayan guide. This is recommended because you can see everything along the way.

You will feel like an early explorer heading deep into the jungle getting further and further away from civilization, until you come around the bend and see the amazing sight of jungle camp suspended 20 feet off the ground.

Step out of your canoe and walk up the ramp where you will be greeted with a champagne cocktail and an ice cold towel, by a bar man wearing a tuxedo, in the old colonial style.

After a few nights, you'll then journey to Moho Cay by:

• Electric pontoon boat
• Kayak
• Or skiff

Another 2½ hours downstream to the mouth of the river opening into the vibrant blue of the Caribbean brings you to Moho Cay for your final lodging experience. Along this trans-habitat voyage, you will see birds, wildlife, mountains, broadleaf forest and mangroves.

Personalized Belize Vacation at a Luxury Resort

At Belize Lodge, guests have an intimate and personalized experience. With a high guide to guest ratio, activities and excursions are tailored to individual interest, and are led by knowledgeable local guides. With the exception of the Outer Reef trip, our eco-tours are not done in groups but with individual guests.

Boden Creek Ecological Preserve

The Boden Creek Ecological Preserve is made up of 13,600 acres of lowland tropical broadleaf forest owned and operated by BLE. It is surrounded by nearly 1.2 million acres of protected areas and home to the Wildlife Care Center of Belize.

The preserve is located within the Golden Stream Watershed, an area of nearly flat coastal lowland tropical broad leaf forest situated between the karstic foothills of the Maya Mountains, and the coastal mangrove forests and marine island habitat of the Port Honduras Marine Reserve.

BLE's fourth resort, Moho Cay Lodge, is located within the Port Honduras Marine Reserve and is situated on a 2-acre white sand beach, palm tree covered island. The lodge accomodations are raised luxury African safari style tent platforms covered by a thatched roof with restaurant and bar overlooking the shining blue Caribbean Sea.
